Two goals from Suzzy Dede Teye and Martha Gifty Amissah were enough to hand Ladystrikers FC the maximum points to wrap up the 2020/21 Women’s Premier League (WPL).
The match-day 14 fixture played on Sunday at the Mcdan La Town Park recorded a 2-0 scoreline in favour of Ladystrikers.
Dede Teye broke the virginity of the match in 51 minutes with a screamer to put her side ahead.
Three minutes after the goal, Gifty Amissah headed home the “Strikers” second to travel back with a victory.

With the hosts chasing for a goal, Vinoria Kuzagbe came close to scoring but her header was saved by Ladystrikers goalie, Beatrice Ntiwaa Nketia.
To ensure Police Ladies win, Coach Frank Sam introduced Juanita Aguadze, Henrietta Annie, and Josephine Boateng in the second half but their efforts were not enough to snatch a point.
Six minutes to end regulation time, Dede Teye had a glorious one-one opportunity with Police ladies’ goalie Fafali Dumehasi but the experienced goalkeeper was on spot to deny her a brace.
At the end of 2020/21 WPL, Ladystrikers moved to fourth position with 23 points whilst Police Ladies took the fifth position with 21 points after 14 matches.
