13 players turn up for Stars first training session ahead of South Africa clash

Thirteen Black Stars  players turned up for their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of their 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against South Africa at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday November 14, 2019.

The thirteen who turned up out of the 23 invited players were; Captain  Dede Ayew, Crystal Palce forward Jordan Ayew, Asante Kotoko’s shot stopper Felix Annan,  Razak Abalora, Samuel Owusu, Toriq Jibril,  Emmanuel Boateng, Shafiu Mumuni , Kassim Nuhu, Patrick Twumasi, Richard Ofori, Fatau Mohammed and Gideon Mensah.

According to technical handlers of the team, the rest of the playing body who are billed to touch down in Ghana later would join the team’s residential camp base in Cape Coast on Tuesday, as they prepare for their first double header against the Bafana Bafana of south Africa before travelling to play Sao Tome and Princepe.

The full list of invited players are ; Richard Ofori (Maritzburg FC, South Africa), Felix Annan (Asante Kotoko, Ghana), Razak Abalora (Azam FC, Tanzania), Andy Yiadom (Reading, England), Lumor Agbenyenu (Real Mallorca, Spain), Joseph Aidoo (Celta Vigo, Spain), Joseph Aidoo (Celta Vigo, Spain), Kassim Nuhu (Fortuna Dusseldorf, Germany), Nicholas Opoku (Udinese, Italy), Mohammed Salisu (Real Valladolid, Spain), Samuel Owusu (Al Fahya, Saudi Arabia), Thomas Partey (Atletico Madrid, Spain), Alfred Duncan (Sassuolo, Italy), Iddrisu Baba (Real Mallorca, Spain), Christopher Antwi-Adjei (SC Paderborn, Germany) Andre Ayew (Swansea, England), Mohammed Kudus (FC Nordsjaelland, Denmark), Emmanuel Boateng (Dalian Yifang, China), Jordan Ayew (Crystal Palace, England), Torric Jibril (TP Mazembe, DR Congo), Shafiu Mumuni (Ashantigold) as well as Fatau Mohammed and Gideon Mensah.
