Megachurch pastor, evangelist and author, Dag Heward-Mills has been acknowledged by the Pastors Conference World as holding the largest pastors’ and ministry training conference in Africa, and one of the largest in the world. Pastors Conference World is a U.S. based web group that researches, promotes and advertises conferences, resources and activities for pastors across the globe.

The annual ‘Give Thyself Wholly’ Conference, formerly known as the ‘Iron Sharpeneth Iron Conference’, has steadily seen record attendances in the tens of thousands from over forty nations of the world. Thousands of pastors coming from South America, U.S.A., Africa, Australia, U.K. and many other countries attend to learn and receive from the ministry of Dag Heward-Mills. The scale and magnitude of this programmes has garnered international attention and recognition.

For three days, Bishop Heward-Mills plans to revitalize and uplift thousands of ministers of all ages, races and backgrounds in hopes that they can become prepared and encouraged to build strong churches, win souls for Jesus Christ and take on ministerial responsibilities.

"It is important that many ordinary people are trained to do the work of the ministry; the work of winning souls and shepherding God’s people," said Heward-Mills, who pastors The Lighthouse Chapel International, Qodesh, where the summer gathering is held annually.

Since 2014, Heward-Mills has been holding his Ministry conferences in cities across the world, including London and South Africa. The annual events have grown in a short time and currently draw more thousands in these cities, 3000 and 5000 respectively.

The purpose of the conference, according to organizers, is to help pastors of all races and backgrounds address specific callings, ministries, and struggles from a biblical perspective.

And to help with that, Dag Heward-Mills has pulled together an eminent group of International speakers who truly embody the essence of this life-changing conference. Although Heward-Mills is the official and most prominent speaker for the conference, other personalities also minster in shorter sessions.

In addition to Heward-Mills, speakers over the years have included Bishop Mosa Sono, pastor of Grace Bible Church in Johannesburg (arguably the largest church in South Africa); Pastor Benny Hinn, the renowned healing evangelist; Bishop Patrick Andrianarivo of the Eglise Evangelic Shine (largest church in Madagascar); Apostle Maposse, pastors of the Ministerio Evangellio em Accao (largest church in Mozambique) and Rev D Mohan of the New Life assembly of God in Chennai, India. The conference also feature celebrated international artist: AIDA.
For the Accra megachurch pastor, this recognition by international researchers will have a little added meaning, as it comes not long after Heward-Mills was elected onto the seven-member board of the Pentecostal World Fellowship. A prestigious position in the Pentecostal faith.

Dag Heward-Mills, a trained Medical Doctor, has also served on the Church Growth International Board since 1996 and is the founder of the National Association for Charismatic and Christian Churches (NACCC) in Ghana.

Bishop Heward-Mills is the founder and Presiding Bishop of Lighthouse Chapel International and the founder of the Healing Jesus Campaign (Currently Africa’s largest evangelistic organization), has grown the Lighthouse denomination from the humble beginnings in 1988 from a single church in Accra, Ghana, to a worldwide Christian denomination with close to three thousand branches in 83 countries. Driven by his passion to fulfil God’s great commission, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills has defied all odds and stereotypes to establish Lighthouse Chapel International branches in all the five continents of the world.
